We have the pleasure to invite you to the EUNIS 2016 pre-congress Seminar on Business Intelligence and Data Mining, organized by the EUNIS Business Intelligence Task Force!

The seminar will be held at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki on Tuesday June 7th, 13:30-18:00

There is no cost to attend this event.

You can opt to register for one or both master classes.

The Seminar on Business Intelligence and Data Mining comprises two master classes on the topics of Data Mining and Data Visualization.

Master class 1: Introduction to Data Mining Techniques.

This tutorial will introduce the main concepts of and the key benefits stemming from data warehousing and data mining. The topics include:

  • Outlier Detection

Master class 2: Data Visualization Fundamentals for Business Intelligence.

Prof. Dr. Elsa Cardoso, University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL), Portugal.

June 7th, 16:00-18:00

In this master class you will learn the fundamentals and best practices of data visualization that will help you develop more efficient visual interfaces for decision-making. The topics include:

  • Introduction to Visual Analytics
  • Principles of visual perception
  • Data visualization (including dashboard design)
  • Infographics
