EUNIS 2017 Workshop “Transforming the Student Experience: Journeys and Destinations”
We will explore the use of technology to transform the student experience both in terms of the student’s overall learning journey and the campus as a destination. Participants will be trained in Student Experience Journey Mapping (SXJM) a specially adapted version of Customer Experience Journey Mapping (CXJM) which is used in many sectors (watch this short video from Oracle to find out more). SXJM is easy to learn and can be adapted to any area of University life. You will gain insight into how your students perceive their interactions with you that shows you where your interventions can really make a difference to outcomes. Expect the workshop to be fast and fun and leave you ready to undertake SXJM in your own university.
We will also take a look at the University campus as a destination and what we need to do to meet the needs of 21st century teaching and research. This will be an opportunity to hear about experiences worldwide as well as what is happening in Europe. We have an award-winning design expert from Australia who will take you through a hands-on session in solving real world problems to improve the student experience in a typical campus space.
EUNIS 2017 Workshop “European Student Card”
Discover the vision, potential and practical implementation of a European student identity card at an international conference in the framework of the EU-project “European Student Card” (ESC). The pre-conference workshop presents the current state in the technical development of a European student ID card that could give access to services as diverse as library use, student restaurants, copy machines, or local transportation – one card for different services and all this with cross-border functionality.
Additionally to the comprehensive presentation of the idea of a European Student Card, the workshop focuses on the opportunities in Student Services, and looks at the challenges which might come along with its implementation. You will get an overview about the current state of development, the progress of the EU-project and you will have the possibility to see the first prototype of a European Student Card. A practical part of the workshop allows for the verification of technical requirements.
This pre-conference workshop is aimed at IT specialist and leaders in higher education who are interested in the digital future of student cards, and is particularly useful for directors of IT services or student services in European institutions of higher education.
EUNIS 2017 Workshop “Students Mobility Task Force Meeting”

In this meeting, apart from revising the different projects which are currently taking place and see how they are evolving, some lines of work for the Task Force will also be defined in order to put them in the right direction to cover our most urgent needs: achieving a better and wider vision in the long term to take the right steps in the future as a group, and also to coordinate ourselves better through a good leadership to get more institutions and entities on board by disseminating the results of the different project and improving our communication channels.
