EUNIS 2017

Workshop: Transforming the Student Experience (1)

10:30-12:30: Student Experience

13:30-15:30: The Smarter Campus

16:00-18:00: The Smarter Campus (International)

We will explore the use of technology to transform the student experience both in terms of the student’s overall learning journey and the campus as a destination. Participants will be trained in Student Experience Journey Mapping (SXJM) a specially adapted version of Customer Experience Journey Mapping (CXJM) which is used in many sectors (watch this short video from Oracle to find out more). SXJM is easy to learn and can be adapted to any area of University life. You will gain insight into how your students perceive their interactions with you that shows you where your interventions can really make a difference to outcomes. Expect the workshop to be fast and fun and leave you ready to undertake SXJM in your own university.

We will also take a look at the University campus as a destination and what we need to do to meet the needs of 21st century teaching and research. This will be an opportunity to hear about experiences worldwide as well as what is happening in Europe. We have an award-winning design expert from Australia who will take you through a hands-on session in solving real world problems to improve the student experience in a typical campus space.
