With an average number of attendees above 200 (counting international specialists, digital service providers, decision-makers, researchers and teaching staff), it also provides a unique opportunity to exchange perspectives and experiences in relation to the digital transformation of European Universities, aiming to strategically assess challenges and opportunities in an era of new concerns about demographics, mobility, energy and digital sovereignty.<\/p>\n<p>The EUNIS 2023 program will feature oral presentations, poster presentations, panel discussions, tutorials, hands-on sessions and exhibitions, plus an exciting social program in the city of Vigo and its surroundings. Prospective authors are invited to submit scientific, technological, experiential or philosophical papers in the following tracks:<\/p>\n<h3>Governance and policies for higher education and research<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Enterprise Architecture: towards a European wide set of HEI services<\/li>\n<li>Digital workflows: savings and trade-offs from digitalization<\/li>\n<li>Open science<\/li>\n<li>International cooperation within Europe and beyond<\/li>\n<li>Diversity and inclusion<\/li>\n<li>Ethics, data protection and trust<\/li>\n<li>Digital sovereignty<\/li>\n<li>Distributed workforces and communities<\/li>\n<li>Role of HEIs in the new geopolitical landscape<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Information systems design, development and deployment<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Information systems for HEI\u2019s internal management<\/li>\n<li>Information systems for inter-institutional cooperation (e.g. in initiatives funded by European programmes such as European Universities and Erasmus+)<\/li>\n<li>Information systems for telework, blended learning, virtual laboratories, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Information security<\/li>\n<li>Infrastructure<\/li>\n<li>Benchmarking<\/li>\n<li>IT standards and interoperability<\/li>\n<li>Technology uptake: experience reports and trends<\/li>\n<li>Cloud management<\/li>\n<li>Business Intelligence and analytics<\/li>\n<li>Artificial Intelligence: experiences, opportunities and risks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Learning, teaching and research<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Student mobility<\/li>\n<li>Student success for a changing learner profile<\/li>\n<li>Student and staff digital skills<\/li>\n<li>IT support for research<\/li>\n<li>Educational technologies for teaching learning and assessment<\/li>\n<li>Adaptation and personalization of contents and curricula<\/li>\n<li>Hybrid and blended learning<\/li>\n<li>AR\/VR and metaverse technologies in higher education<\/li>\n<li>Applied learning and graduate employability<\/li>\n<li>Education and entrepreneurship<\/li>\n<li>Digital and micro-credentials<\/li>\n<li>Learning Analytics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Special session proposals<\/h2>\n<p>The Congress welcomes proposals for a wide range of session types: panel discussions, birds-of-a-feather sessions, hands-on demonstrations, etc. Proposals must be uploaded to the <a href=\"https:\/\/easychair.org\/my\/conference?conf=eunis2023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">EasyChair portal<\/a>, using <a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2023\/02\/EUNIS_2023_simple_template_other_session_formats.docx\">this template<\/a>. They will be reviewed by the EUNIS 2023 Scientific Committee (ESC). Acceptance notifications will be sent out by <strong>28 Mar, 2023<\/strong>.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Guidelines for paper submission<\/h2>\n<p>All submissions have to be uploaded to the <a href=\"https:\/\/easychair.org\/my\/conference?conf=eunis2023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">EasyChair portal<\/a>, to be reviewed by the EUNIS 2023 Scientific Committee (ESC). A single submission process will be used. A submission consists of a 4-page to 10-page paper, which includes an abstract of no more than 300 words, and a short bio of the author(s).<\/p>\n<p>The submissions have to follow the <a href=\"https:\/\/eunis.org\/eunis2023\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2022\/12\/EUNIS_2023_Easychair_compatible_template.docx\">EasyChair template<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>1. Submissions can request an oral presentation, poster or other format such as panel discussion or birds-of-a-feather session. To ensure a good balance, the program committee may decide to offer a different format to that chosen. Accepted papers will appear in a special issue of the European Journal of Higher Education IT (<a href=\"https:\/\/eunis.org\/erai\/2022-1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">see for 2022<\/a>).<br \/>\n2. Beyond this first selection, the Scientific Committee will choose papers among accepted submissions for one or more of the following purposes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nomination for the <a href=\"https:\/\/eunis.org\/awards\/eunis-elite-award\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Elite award<\/a>, which recognizes and promotes best practice in the use of information systems in higher education in Europe.<\/li>\n<li>Nomination for the <a href=\"https:\/\/eunis.org\/awards\/dorup-award\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">D\u00f8rup award<\/a>, given for outstanding and innovative applications of information technology in an educational setting.<\/li>\n<li>Transmission to the <a href=\"https:\/\/eunis.org\/blog\/2017\/06\/12\/eunis-signs-collaboration-agreement-with-the-vietsch-foundation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vietsch Foundation<\/a> for possible funding.<\/li>\n<li>Publication in the open access EPiC Series in Computing, indexed by Scopus (<a href=\"https:\/\/easychair.org\/publications\/volume\/EUNIS_2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">see for 2022<\/a>). Papers proposed for publication will have to comply with the EasyChair publications template. Papers published in EPiC will not appear in the EJHEIT Journal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>3. The \u201cEarly bird\u201d rates apply until <strong>30 Apr, 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10% discounts will be offered for group registrations of at least 3 people from the same institution, or at least 3 people from different institutions who have co-authored an accepted paper.
