Rainer Gerling
Rainer W. Gerling is the CISO of the Max Planck Society, as well as an honorary professor for IT Security in the department of Computer Science and Mathematics at the Munich University of Applied Sciences. There he is responsible for the supplementary education "data protection". Gerling has published numerous articles in specialist journals as well as books and he belongs to the editorial board of the magazines "Data Protection and Data Security (DuD)" and "IT Security". Since 2012 he is deputy chairman of the Society for Data Protection and Data Security (GDD). Gerling is a member of the Executive Committee of the National Research and Education Network (DFN).
