Lazaros Merakos
Lazaros Merakos is a Professor in the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), and founding member of the Networking Technologies, Services and Applications (NETSA) laboratory and the Network Operations and Management Center at NKUA. His research interests are in wireless/mobile communication systems, network services and applications, and e-learning. He has authored more than 280 papers in the above areas. He is chairman of the board of the Greek Universities Network GUnet. He was the coordinator and project manager for the development and deployment of the Greek National Schools Network, and member of the board for 22 years (1995-2017) of the Greek National Research Network.
