George Onopas
Georgios A. Onopas is director of the fixed & mobile Access Network Devops Department of OTE Group in Greece. He has actively participated in the development of all Cosmote Group mobile Networks in the Balkan area as well as the recent NGA networks deployments in Greece. He has been engaged in FTTC, FTTH 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, WiFi, Campus Networks deployment, Satellite & Maritime communications, Spectrum Strategy, Radio Network Planning, Network Performance monitoring, fixed & mobile access networks operation and to a greater extent in measurements of receptivity and the quality of COSMOTE/OTE Networks since October 1997. He has led many innovative technology projects on a variety of access technologies (GSM, UMTS, LTE, FEMTO, WiFi, 5G, FTTx, Satellite & Maritime communication). He has graduated from the National Technical University of Athens and holds a MSc degree from Imperial College.
