15.00 – 15.10   Introduction to Discussion ‘How to convince management that Security must be given priority, resources and tools?

15.10 – 16.00   Discussion in smaller groups on the following questions 

 

  • What evidence, what argumentation can we use, that demonstrate Security is more important and relevant than ever,?
  • How can we convince management that the (high) costs for Security will prevent even more costs caused by security breaches?
  • How can we communicate Security needs so that management feels empowered to make the right decisions?
  • What overall improvements can we think of to better ‘sell’ security needs, make them understand what we do, what is at stake?    

 

16.00 – 16.30  Networking Break

16.30 – 16.50  Feedback from groups on outcomes of break-out discussions  

16.50  -17.10  Response to the outcomes, the Gartner Prediction, and suggested strategies,  Christian Fötinger (Hochschule Augsburg, Germany)
