How to understand EdTech ecosystems: health & quality factors #20
Most EdTech institutions must deal with healthy & quality factors within their digital ecosystems.
Digital ecosystem – instead of digital system – means that interoperability and information data flows are new dimensions to include as part of the IT management and governance.
The health of the ecosystem is mandatory to ensure both the current business requirements and the future needs. In this presentation we will show and discuss a set of healthy indicators that guide the decisions to make within the IT departments at a Program or Service level.
In parallel, there are technological quality factors (ISO25000) to be considered in the application integration/development process and the continuous applications improvement process. We will show and discuss this set of quality indicators that guide the decision making at a development & deployment level too.
Finally, we will explain and demonstrate how we are able to gather most of the information from our IT management tools, mainly Atlassian JIRA & SonarQube, as well as the process to iterate and refine the calculation of this set of indicators.
At the end, we will show how we are providing both, visual maps/reports and the roadmap to create an IT Data product – a data repository – as a main instrument for the decision makers of the institution.
