Sebastian Schellhorn
Sebastian Schellhorn is assistant manager and scientist of the Institute of Computer Science of the University of Potsdam. He is responsible for administrative and planning tasks. Together with his colleagues, there were several redundancies detected within administration - particularly in solving curriculum-based course timetabling problems and in formulating study regulations. To resolve the mentioned redundancies, knowledge representation approaches are used to model underlying constraints and let AI find a solution. The elaboration tolerance and provided human readable format come together with high performant problem solvers, which makes this approach well suited. Research wise Sebastian is also involved to foundations concerning reasoning over continuous domains.
