Vlad Petcu Vlad Petcu
Vlad Petcu is a highly skilled and experienced professional with a passion for developing new organizations and a track record of success in major project coordination, education, HR, and public policy. Over the past three years, Vlad has been coordinating the creation of the UNITA (European University Alliance) Interuniversity Virtual Campus, a significant undertaking that has required him to utilize his expertise in project management and leadership. In the past two years he has also served as the chair of the FOREU2 Digital Services and Data Sharing subgroup, where he has worked to ensure the representation, communication, and collaboration of all the second wave of European University Alliances in the field of digital services and data sharing. Right now his activity, as co-chair of the FOREU IT and Digitalization subgroup, covers the specific digitalization activities related to international collaboration for 50 European Universities involving more than 430 higher education institutions in both capital cities and remote regions of 35 countries, including all EU Member States, and Iceland, the Republic of North-Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, and Türkiye, as well as Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. In his day to day job, Vlad is serving as the Deputy General Director of the West University of Timisoara for the past five years, overseeing the IT&C, Digitalization, Social, and Administrative Departments. His management skills and expertise have helped him to effectively lead teams and drive organizational success. Outside of his professional endeavors, Vlad is a enthusiastic manager with a deep commitment to excellence. He is dedicated to helping others and has a strong belief in the power of education.
