Simone Piunno
Technology Director at Bocconi
Simone Piunno wrote his first computer programs on a Commodore VIC20 when he was a toddler. In the late 80s, before commercial Internet, he was part of the FidoNet BBS scene, upsetting his parents with the noise of 1200bps modems and, more importantly, the high cost of telephone bills.
In 90s Simone founded a Linux User Group and has been active an active contributor of the open-source community.
Before joining Bocconi University and taking the role of Technology Director, Simone was CTO at the Digital Transformation Team of the Italian Government.
