Barbara Wasson

Barbara is the Director of the Centre for the Science of Learning & Technology (SLATE), the national centre for learning analytics funded by the Ministry of Education and the University of Bergen. She has been involved in technology enhanced learning research for over 30 years, and is currently involved in research on AI and education, learning analytics, and data literacy. She was one of the three PIs of the European Network of Excellence, Kaleidoscope, a consortium of over 27 institutions. Currently she is a member of the Ministry of Education’s national commission on learning analytics, the Council of Europe’s Expert Goup on AI and Education. and Norway’s representative to the European Schoolnet Data Interest Group.
