Abdelali Agouni
Dr. Abdelali Agouni is currently Post-Award Manager (Office of the Vice President for Research & graduate studies) and Associate Professor of Pharmacology (College of Pharmacy, Qatar University). He is also the founding coordinator of the Ph.D program in pharmaceutical sciences since 2018. Dr. Agouni is an expert in cardiovascular and metabolic functions phenotyping and the study of cellular mechanisms associated with cardio-metabolic disorders (56 peer-reviewed publications in internationally leading journals to date) Dr. Agouni has successfully managed several competitive research grants involving teams inside and outside of Qatar with a cumulative research income of over $2 million in the past 5 years. Dr. Agouni has successfully supervised to completion several undergraduate, MSc, and Ph.D. students inside and outside of Qatar University. He also has strong experience as an educator and has significant experience in both undergraduate and graduate teaching. He published several research papers in the field of learning and teaching. His teaching quality is internationally recognized and in 2013 he achieved the status of Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK).
