Redefining the concept of the MOOC #17
The definition of massive open online courses (MOOCs) was established over ten years ago when the first course of that type was developed. That definition continues to be used commonly, despite significant changes to the digital world, the training market, and education due to the COVID–19 pandemic. This article attempts to present a new approach to the concept of the MOOC against the backdrop of today’s remote education and other technological advancements. The article specifies a set of features that e-learning courses should possess to qualify as MOOCs.
