Nikiforos leads the tech engagements that pertain to Public Sector entities in Greece & Cyprus, including the domain of Research & Education. Amongst the most notable projects he’s been part of are Greece’s national vaccination platform (emvolio.gov.gr), featuring 0% downtime after 3+ years of continued use, the AWS Naxos Smart Island project (the first of its kind worldwide for AWS), and the training of Large Language Models (LLMs) in the Greek language. Nikiforos holds an MSc in Computer Science from Imperial College London and a BSc in Management Science and Technology from AUEB and after 3 years in AWS UK, he’s proud to have been repatriated & contribute to Greece’s digitalization efforts.
