José Martins Ferreira
José Manuel Martins Ferreira obtained his PhD degree in digital systems testing in 1992 at the University of Porto. He lectured various topics in this area in Portugal and abroad, and holds a full professor position at the University College of Southeast Norway (currently in leave of absence).
He was vice-president for academic affairs at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto from 2010 to 2013. He is vice-rector of the University of Porto since July of 2014, where he is responsible for information management, educational technologies, quality and continuous improvement.
