Rector of UPC (Peru)
Edward Roekaert is UPC’s Rector since 2014. Before joining UPC he was the Rector at Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola, institution in which he also held the positions of Founding Dean and faculty member of the School of Hospitality and Tourism, and Vice-Rector of Internationality. He was also an international Independent Consultant for Price Waterhouse Coopers, and Accreditation Commissioner for the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration - USA.
He is currently President of Metared - Peru and a Member of the Board of Casa Andina Hotels and Universia - Peru.
Roekaert holds a Doctor in Hotel and Tourism Management degree from the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He also has Master’s degrees in Hotel Administration and Industrial Engineering & Operations Research from Cornell University and a Bachelors in Business Administration from Universidad del Pacifico in Lima, Peru.
