Halvor Austenå is Vice-rector for for Education and Quality of Study at the University of Southeastern-Norway. Prior to that, he was Rector at Vestfold University College and Dean of Engineering at Bergen University College. He is an expert on institutional accreditation for the Norwegian accreditation body – NOKUT.
Austenå was born in Norway and attended the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) where he completed a Master degree in Physics with Biophysics as a specialization. His ph.d. was also completed at NTNU within social sciences - Regional Innovation Systems.
