Within the European Higher Education area, there is a long tradition of cooperation among Universities in order to achieve results that could be difficult to reach for an institution alone.Collaboration is so important that even when there is not an official partnership, people try to find a way to cooperate anyhow: a great example of it is the “open source movement”.The European Union strongly supports such collaborations, not only within the same country but also promoting partnerships between different Countries. This track aims to share experiences already in place and compare models, objectives and best practices in order to find and take all the opportunities that are out there.
Among others the consortia and other assemblies of university cooperation of Sweden (Ladok), Germany (ZKI), France (AMUE), Italy (CINECA), UK (UCISA) and Spain (SIGMA) among others will present, discuss, compare solutions for organisation and governance of the respective organisations.
