Firas Al Laban
Firas Al Laban is a research assistant at the University of Potsdam, Germany.
He obtained his Ph.D. in computer science (knowledge management systems) from Damascus University, Syria. His research interests include Ontology, Semantic Web, and Open Educational Resources. As a lecturer in different universities, he taught computer science and mathematics. Since 2019, he has
been working at the chair for Complex Multimedia Application Architectures at the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Potsdam. He is currently involved in a project mainly related to policy experimentation and higher education strategies for blended learning, virtual mobility and IT infrastructure.
