Tore Burheim is the Chief Information Officer at the University of Bergen, a comprehensive research university in Norway with 4,000 employees and 20,000 students. Tore holds a PhD in computer science/natural language processing and has a diverse background working in telecom R&D, serving as CTO and CEO in a start-up company developing speech recognition, and spending twelve years in consulting before returning to the University of Bergen as CIO eleven years ago. Throughout this time, Tore has held numerous positions on various boards related to digitalization and IT in the university sector in Norway.
