MakeITeasy : guiding higher education actors to take ownership of the development and strengthening of their digital skills #18
The MakeITeasy platform is the backbone of the University of Geneva’s “Digital Skills” institutional project. The objective of the system is to allow the actors, students, teachers, researchers, administrative and technical staff to develop and strengthen their digital skills. It is a matter of allowing individuals to evaluate themselves to self-regulate. The design of the platform is organized around a framework of digital skills, which is based on the DigComp framework of the European Commission and the Digital Capabilities Framework of JISC.

Helping teachers navigate the digital world: self-efficacy, emotions and mindfulness #43
In the last years, online teaching emerged as a demand for teachers including the ones with no previous experience with this teaching format. Self-efficacy is a psychological resource with an important role in the way individuals deal with challenges. This study assesses teachers’ online self-efficacy by exploring the role of self-efficacy sources, namely, emotional states, as preconized by the Social Cognitive Theory from Albert Bandura. We present the results of a survey completed by 150 higher education teachers.

Creating hybrid work principles and activity-based office practices by consent decision making #50
Principles of distributed workforce set up another disruption in work practices. The COVID-19 pandemic pushed office workers into almost uniform remote work that was based on restrictions. However, this new way of working in hybrid is not ‘one size fits all.’ The principles of hybrid work and office practices are more likely to succeed if they are carefully decided together with the personnel. One suitable method for achieving this aim is consent based decision making, which is a pattern in Sociocracy 3.0 framework. IT Center in the University of Helsinki made 36 decisions using consent-based decision making in Spring 2022.
