Siem Buseyne holds a bachelor's degree in teaching for secondary education and a master's degree in educational sciences. Currently, he is a PhD researcher in instructional design and technology at Université de Lille (France), KU Leuven (Belgium), and imec (Belgium). His research aims to explore how collaborative problem-solving (CPS) competencies can be developed most effectively and how CPS as a method in education and training can be best supported. Most of his research takes place in technology-enhanced learning spaces (e.g., the Lille Learning Lab at Université de Lille), which enable research on multimodal learning and classroom analytics (e.g., verbal and non-verbal audio sources).
