After 14 exciting years in Higher Education, Pekka Kähkipuro has begun a new professional journey. He left his position as CIO at the University of Tampere, Finland and also steps down from the role of President of EUNIS. We thank him very much for his commitment, extraordinary achievements and work to implement the mission of our association. Good luck on your new professional adventure Pekka!
The EUNIS Board of Directors has elected an interim President to fulfill the role until the next annual elections in June, during the EUNIS24 Annual Congress in Athens.
We are pleased to announce that Freddy Barstad, an experienced manager and strategic advisor in the field of technology and organisational development at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway has been granted this honour! Freddy is an experienced Board member and Vice-President of EUNIS. Many of you might remember the EUNIS19 Congress organised by Freddy as one of the highlights in our history.
With the full support of our community, Freddy will ensure the smooth continuity of EUNIS operations during this interim period.
