On 9 and 10 April 2013, the China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center CHESICC graciously hosted the second annual meeting of Digital Student Data Depositories Worldwide (DSDDW), in close cooperation with the Dutch Education Executive Agency DUO. Dr Janina Mincer-Daszkiewicz has participated in the meeting as a EUNIS representative.
The meeting had been impeccably organized by CHESICC, and the key note speeches, presentations, live demonstrations and panel discussion at the end of day 1 clearly found instant approval from all participants.
The Beijing meeting was a seminal one, in that it showcased several initiatives, including two from the National Student Clearinghouse: the US wide utilization of the University of Texas SPEEDE server and a pilot with DUO, an agency of the Dutch Ministry of Education, to create the first non-U.S. online academic credentials verification service.
