Hans-Dieter Weckmann holds a Computer Science Diploma of the University of Bonn. He worked at the University of Duisburg-Essen as executive director for IT-infrastructure. Since 2011 he is director of the Center for Information and Media Technologies at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. He headed the Working groups University Computer Centers in ZKI and the Learning Spaces in DINI and is a member of the Board of Directors at EUNIS.
