EUNIS25 Congress in Belfast was attended by 264 participants from 29 countries —people who are shaping the digital future of higher education every day, all united by a shared mission: to shape a smarter, more connected digital future for learning.
The Congress began on 3 June with a series of hands-on workshops, setting the stage for a week of deep exploration and collaboration. From Enterprise Architecture and AI-driven security, to Open Science and Learning Technology, these interactive sessions sparked fresh thinking and laid the groundwork for meaningful conversations that echoed throughout the event.
By the time the main programme opened on 4 June, the energy was electric. Inspiring keynotes from Barbara Wasson and Frank Lyons challenged us to envision bold new possibilities—where hybrid intelligence, digital creativity, and inclusive design transform the way we teach, learn, and lead.
Over three dynamic days, the Congress dove into the fast-evolving landscape of higher education through a wide range of sessions, covering themes such as:
- Â AI & digital transformation in health and education
- Â Immersive technologies and the creative industries
- Â International collaboration & resilient digital campuses
- Â Digital governance & enterprise architecture
- Â Cybersecurity and student well-being.
Whether we were exploring the use of AI chatbots in student services, virtual production in media education, or the potential of digital credentials, one thing was clear: the future of education is being built—right now, by us.
We also celebrated innovation in action, with the prestigious EUNIS Awards s honouring standout contributions across the sector. From emerging professionals to seasoned pioneers, the awardees reflected the talent and diversity driving our community forward.
As the final talks wrapped and fond farewells were exchanged, the message was clear: EUNIS25 was more than a conference—it was a catalyst. A place where big ideas met practical solutions, and where a passionate community renewed its commitment to leading digital change in higher education.
A heartfelt thank you to our hosts at Ulster University, our brilliant speakers, engaged attendees, and valued sponsors for making EUNIS25 such an unforgettable experience!
We hope to see you next year at #EUNIS26! Join us at West University of Timisoara, Romania, on 3–5 June 2026.
Save the date—and stay inspired!
