EUNIS Emerging Professionals Award
EUNIS is proud to recognize early-career professionals who are shaping the digital future of higher education. Through innovation, dedication and fresh ideas, they are pursuing real change in our European institutions and beyond. Celebrate with us the new generation of leaders who turn vision into impact.
Purpose:
To recognize outstanding early-career professionals from European higher education institutions, who contribute to digital innovation, IT transformation or technology-enhanced learning and/or researching in their institutions and communities.
✅ Eligibility Criteria:
- Employed at a European higher education institution that is a member of EUNIS or part of a national EUNIS member organization.
- Up to 7 years of professional experience after completing their highest degree.
- Working in areas such as e.g. digital transformation, educational technology, digital administration, research support or IT services.
- Active involvement in innovative projects, service development or digitalisation initiatives with demonstrated or promising impact.
- Participation in the EUNIS Congress (e.g., scientific paper, session proposal).
🔎 Selection Criteria:
- Innovation: Creativity and novelty of their work.
- Impact: Benefit to students, staff or institutional performance.
- Engagement: Collaboration within and beyond the home institution.
- Communication: Clarity and strength of their Congress contribution or nomination materials.
📋Proceedings:
- Nomination:
- Self-nomination or nomination by a colleague/supervisor, the EUNIS Programme Committee or the EUNIS Steering Committee of the Science Committee
- Submit:
- Short CV or professional profile (max 1 page),
- Project/achievement summary (max 500 words),
- Link to the Congress contribution.
- Review Panel:
- Composed of EUNIS Board members and Scientific Committee members (Programme Committee or Scientific Steering Committee)
- Evaluation using a standardized scoring rubric (Easy chair score)
- Shortlisting:
- Up to three finalists selected.
- Award Ceremony:
- Finalists presented and winner announced during the closing session of the EUNIS Congress or Gala dinner.
🏆 Prize:
- Certificate of recognition
- Opportunity to publish a short report/interview on the EUNIS website/newsletter.
- Complimentary registration for next year’s EUNIS Congress for lead author. In case of several authors, either the person that present the contribution or the group decides who takes up the prize.
❗Notes:
- Only professionals from institutions in Europe, as defined by EUNIS, are eligible.
- Membership in EUNIS (direct or via a national organization) is a prerequisite for nomination.
