Open Science (OS) fosters transparency, accessibility, and collaboration in research. It enhances
research quality and integrity by making methodologies, data, and findings openly available, improving
findability and reproducibility while reducing the risk of scientific misconduct.
For university networks like EUNIS, Open Science is not only a key driver of collaboration and research excellence but also a pillar of digitalisation efforts. Open Science strengthens research partnerships by facilitating data and resource sharing across institutions, amplifies the visibility and impact of research, and fosters a culture of openness, collaboration, and integrity.
Mission:
To acknowledge the importance of Open Science for research, collaboration, and institutional strategy, the SIG Open Science will serve as a platform for EUNIS members to:
Scope: Open Science Hubs (OSH)
To reach the goals, activities will be deployed that are tied together by the concept of “Open Science Hubs” (OSH). We understand OSH as central entry points and signposts for OS requests at Higher Education Institutions (HEI) that make OS more visible, synergetic and accessible for researchers, HEI staff, and other stakeholders.
