The Vietsch Foundation Medal of Honour is awarded annually to individuals or groups whose initiatives have created lasting value for the research and education networking community and its users.
The Medal recognises sustainable achievements in establishing new organisations, services, technologies, or approaches that accelerate innovation in support of research and education networking. It may be awarded both to innovators and to those who have built upon existing innovations to ensure their long-term impact. In cases of proven collaboration, the Medal may be jointly awarded to multiple contributors.

Award ceremony: during TNC26 Conference, held in Helsinki, June 2026.
